  • HS : who gets the win?

Say hey guys, need a little help here.

First game of season for our JV High School team is in a Tourney with a no- inning after 1: 45 min of play.

    Game goes 6 complete innings.

    Our team wins 7 - 0.

Pitcher #1 goes 3 complete innings and leaves with score 3 - 0 and is thrown out of game by HP Umpire in the top of 4th for arguing called third strke while he is AB.
Pitcher #1 gives up 3 hits and 4 walks and pitches out of 2 serious jams.

Pitcher #2 comes in and pitches 3 complete innings. The teams scores 4 more runs for a 7-0 lead.
Pitcher #2 gives up: 0 Hits, 1 BB, with 6 K's. Throws 32 pitches in the 3 IP.

That one’s pretty simple. The answer’s in 9-6-6 if the NFHS baseball rule book.

If a game ends for whatever reason, having gone less than seven innings, then the starting pitcher shall have pitched 3 or more consecutive innings to be declared the winning pitcher.

All the other stuff you wrote makes absolutely no difference. The starter gets the win.

FWIW, you might want to look in the NFHS rule book in 4-2, Ending a Regulation Game. I think you'll see that game might have ended illegally.
The pitcher who’s afraid to throw strikes, will soon be standing in the shower with the hitter who's afraid to swing.
