An avid Mets fan, I have to admit that the regular hot dogs served at Shea are only so-so and are not worthy of a city that has some extraordinary deli hot dogs. HOWEVER, if you go to the glatt kosher hot dog stand (there are several, the one I go to is by section 9 in the loge), you will have an extraordinary hot dog that is one of the best I have ever tasted. You don't have to be kosher (I'm not). Just skip the regular Shea's Nathans (Nathans used to be a lot better before they went nationwide) and check these out the next time you're at Shea.

You have to get the real Nathans in the natural casings......Many Nathans franchises switched to skinless franks. I have been to plenty Nathans in the New York
Metro area and just can't understand why Nathans allowed franchises to switch and why they all don't carry the same product.....And furthermore why after 92 years they would change Nathans Famous...Kind of like Coke and New Coke....

Yankee Stadium had good dogs in the late 90's....Kosher dogs are the best because they are 100% beef with no additives or preservatives. The Nathans served at Yankee Stadium today are jumbo and skinless.

Regardless of who serves (they really aren't "making" them... just heating them up and inserting them in a bun) the best hot dog, I do know that Cleveland offers the best mustard, hands down.

I have a bottle in my fridge right now, and I'm hundreds of miles from Cleveland. I make no apologies for the size of the photo... in fact, you cannot get a small photo of this mustard... only photos of a size which matches the flavor of the product inside.

Not a declaration of superiority, but if you do go to Fenway, you have no choice but to get the Monster Dog at El Tiante's. It's (relatively) cheap given Fenway's and Boston's prices, and it's definitely a meal and a half. Get it with golden mustard, onions and relish, and you're set.

God, why isn't it opening day yet.

Yankee Stadium's was kinda cold, but otherwise fine. None of the parks I've gone to have really had exceptional hot dogs, but my girlfriend had really great nachos at Citizens Bank Park. And Primanti's at PNC are the best food I've had in a ballpark by far.

My favorite still has to be the Kahn's jumbo dogs that I ate at Three Rivers Stadium as a kid. They were not the all-beef variety, but the kind containing pork by-products That makes all the difference.

The regular ol' foil-wrapped hot dogs at RFK Stadium were among the worst I've ever had at a ballpark. The grill dogs, loaded up with onions and peppers, on the other hand, were really good.

This season, though, I absolutely can't wait until Nationals Park opens, as they'll be serving up chili half smokes from Ben's Chili Bowl...

Like for example, New Yorkers will spit on the ground getting that god awful taste of so called pizza, chinese food, bagels, and yes even hotdogs out of their mouths.... if ordered anywhere outside of new york.

This is one thing I've never, ever understood about New Yorkers (and in South Florida we've got a lot of transplants): "New York Style" Chinese Food. I've heard New Yorkers cry bloody murder if their chinese food isn't advertised as so-called "New York Style Chinese Food".

I always assumed Chinese food was, you know, Chinese styled (or more accurately Szechuan or Hunan styled).

I have personally never in my life heard it being called "new york style chinese food". Ever. NY pizza yes.... but New York Style Chinese Food? That's the silliest thing I ever read.

Again, it's a regional thing. That have their way of cooking it and use different products and so forth. Alot of people say it's the water.

I would think that anyone from South Florida who never been up to New York will have a different reaction. The chinese food is probably a much stronger and bolder taste to them, and probably too strong.

I've been to the West Palm Beach area and the Naples/Ft Myers area... I recall alot of panda express and (something) wok franchise kind of places as oppose to chinese joints inside of a shopping center. Must be a marketing thing.... and I will enjoy the chuckles and disbelief looks when I go home and make small talk. lol

My wife's take-out of choice. I'm take it or leave it on it. The best chinese food I had was the sit-in restaraunt in the town I grew up in Maryland. Sadly it is long gone.

Chinese food in general, however, is usually pretty satisfying to me. So I'm not that picky about it.

That might have been it, but not 100% sure. I agree how chinese food usually being satisfying. Just each region has its own sauce and some are bolder than others.

Lol its just annoying to have your state's culture a certain way for 50 years and then have people come around in the past 5 to 10 years and tell you its wrong and heres how you should do it.
