    • Another Dick Allen Home Run thought to be in contention for the longest at Tiger Stadium.
This "line drive" struck the facing of the upper deck. It is 388' to that spot 75' above the field.
Estimate was at least 500'. This one hit harder than all but Howard's. McGwire's, Belle's would have
left the stadium had it not bounced against the LF light tower.. Killebrew's and McGwire's bounced twice. Fielder hit multiple
blows to the front of that roof. Allen.jpg

      • Great graphic I have actually seen video of that home run , but the ball flew above the camera's line of sight, so you couldn't see where the struck the roof.

        • Albert Belle should receive special mention for his Tiger Stadium LEFT field smash: a "line drive". that would have cleared.
Several home runs have hit the 18" facing in both left and right field. A few have hit light light towers in
right field that would have cleared the roof.

Do you know the height of the scoreboard?
