  • Nice shots John.

Wow, those rubble mounds are pretty large. Look at that guy in the first picture next to it.

I don't know. If you look at the progression from John's shots to Bill's last shot of the ramps coming down, there really is not that much left. They could get it all down by tomorrow afternoon imo.

Many months ago, Gordon called Feb 19th as the day Shea was down. That is looking like a near perfect choice, maybe off by a day or two. Amazing.

If they don't get it tomorrow, then you have Sun and a holiday Monday. That would get Gordon within 2 days of calling it. I'm impressed!

        • Sorry I could not get pics today, as I planned to. My sister took the camera when I was in school. Today I thought I would get some pics after taking 5 test. But no my sister had to take the camera to take some pics of her friends. Today might be the last day I get to see any part of Shea standing up because I am going to Boston for a trip. Now all I can hope for is that there some parts of Shea standing on Tuesday, or I will get really angry and throw a hissyfit.:hissyfit::hissyfit::hissyfit:

Thanks. I've been enjoying all the shots that others have taken over the past few months and figured it was my turn to take a few.

You're right. Those mounds of debris were huge. I figured they were going to spend most of today just clearing debris, which means it will still be another day or so before Shea is all gone.

                  • Wow, they've already started flattening out some of the ground where the parking lot is going to be. What is the orange fenced off area?

The way the sun rays are shining down on the pit where the stadium used to stand .... it almost makes me think that the heavens are calling the remaining piece of stadium to come join the rest of the already removed sections to the BIG BALLPARK IN THE SKY.

                      • That picture above is un-freaking-believable. As a Yankee fan, it scares me that in less than a year, OYS might look similar to this.

I'm just wondering, which section of the stadium is still standing? Is that the portion that was directly behind home plate?

Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, and rum. He will come.

that's just an awesome look at Shea. I wonder (and maybe it's deep in the archives in this site) what the view looked like in late September during the final homestand from that exact spot.

According to my Danbury Mint Shea, just a bit off towards the First Base side, essentially the Mets dugout area.

Where have you been? When I left at 4:30 he was still ripping down the right side of the pitcher. There was 1 section of ramps left so I believe he was staying until that section was gone. We might see the end tomorrow.
