Does anyone know if there's a contingency plan if they don't finish by the start of the season? Yes, I know it's happening in phases, but what if THIS phase isn't complete?

False limited seating hoping that more is paid for the remaining seats.

Or the ability to say "sold out" with less than 70k there

I never understood the concept of the tarps/seat covers in general. Do they think that fans are so stupid that they will make the stadium seem less empty, or that the giant empty sections disappear under the tarps?

What they did in the Metrodome with the curtain looked okay, but anything beyond that is a waste of time to me.

Totally great shots. So much teal. Love it.

Judging from the foundations still poking up, yes that's 1B side on the right.

This place would have looked so much better for baseball if the upper deck was removed in the OF like this.

Looking toward RF (currently), might be former 1st base dugout access in foreground:

Figured I'd share these photos. I think it's the only time I ever brought my camera to a game as a kid. I was 11 at the time.

    August 26, 1993 vs. Astros

I think that was dead center field. Amazing that the seating decks come right off the risers pretty clean.

Picture is very current. The scaffolding is just the legs and frame of the stands.

I wonder if this pic was pre 1993 conversion? As seen in the Youtube conversion video, the modern retractable stands didn't appear to use scaffolding.

I also seem to remember Paul? saying that some demolition was required to remove the permanent stands from the low rows of the visiting sideline in 1993. I always figured Joe Robbie built the place to host MLB if it ever became necessary, thus the scaffolding pic would make sense 1987-1992.

I only sat in RF both times I went and I was more amazed that they didn't have on the field bullpens or out field bullpens.

It did look much better back in '93. I also think the grey tarps in the upper seats made the place look less cavernous and empty.
