  • Nationals Park

It's a nice park, but I think they could have done more with the view. We sat down both lines and the historical monuments and buildings aren't visible. The Washington Monument is behind the third base line and the Capitol is blocked by the Booz Allen building, at least from the first base line.

It's a lot like Target field, nice but not a whole lot to set it apart from the other new parks.

I like this park, reminds me of Cincinnati where it's bare bones and simple not a lot of forced copied designs. The only downside I have with the park is that the center field seats face first base instead of home plate.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.

Still a better view than Yankee Stadium.

Great American Ballpark is another one I really like. Didn't realize those seats faced first base. I think they should have gone with a blue fence instead of green and it would have been really cool if they painted the steelwork red, white, and blue.

Yeah the blue would have flowed better, but do you think it was for safety so players didn't lose track of the outfield walls while running towards blue walls and blue seats while trying to use the peripheral vision? Just wondering.

I wonder what the red white and blue steel would have looked like, it sounds good!

Holding a pitcher accountable for how many runs his team scores is like holding the designated hitter accountable for how many runs his team allows.

An individual statistic is meaningful only if it is based strictly on what the player does and not on what the other players on his team do.

Contrary to what most baseball fans claim, a pitched ball which is hit into play is not a strike.

I like the addition of the second video board in left field
they should leave it in for baseball, it isn't blocking anything

It can use a little more detail like lights, ramps & stairs
but I think I'm going to move on to RFK next......

The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

Do you have one with a gridiron for Nats Park?

No I do not but I could insert a football field.
Are there plans to play football at Nats Park?
Or are you just curious to see if a football field fits?

Just curious. DC lost it's bowl game to Annapolis a few years ago, after hosting at RFK a few times around the turn of the decade. I suspect a bowl game will eventually find it's way to Nats Park, particularity now that the building name has gone up for sale. Btw, RFK's gridiron has had two locations, about 5 yards apart.
