  • Isotopes Park

A friend of mine recently got a job with the Albuquerque Isotopes.

What a great, unique looking park they have there, with its southwestern design.

Apparently it wasn't built from scratch... they supposedly used parts of the old park that were previously there. I'd be interested in seeing what that park looked like.

All photos except the last are from Ballparkwatch.com.

    WOW!

That is what a AAA park should look like: a major league park with less seats!

... It's still a shame that the team left Spingfield.

The Window panels seem to have that same pattern of odd colors as Shea did back in the 1960's.

BTW yes what a beauty of a park!

place has to have more home runs than mile high had. its around the same elevation and its not terribly deep fences... dang. i dont like the cheesy grass cuts or the weird center field, but i like the rest

Digital Ballparks has some good pictures of the old Albuquerque sports stadium. It looks like they kept the lower half of the seating bowl in the new stadium. Not fair that our Triple-A team has a stadium twice as nice as ours

Well, I call Isotopes Park my second home. That's becasue I live in Albuquerque and I've been going to the games since they began in 2003. It's a really beautiful park and it's been voted one of the best in the Minor Leagues. I think the only part of the park that is origonal from the old park is the grass field. Everything else is new. The look is a retro-art deco-classic look. The tickets aren't too expensive, the people are friendly, the food is great, the view is awsome, the weather is nice, and the atmosphere is fun. People who I've talked to who visited the park for the first time have all had good things to say about the park and it's perks. Every time I pass by it I get the chills because its such a great landmark and a large piece of our history.

Isotopes Park is awesome. I went down there for a series, it is worth your money if you are in the Southwest.

What is the hill in CF for? Is it a baseball stadium or an obstacle course?
