Shea Stadium Seats
Does anyone know the process on how/when the stadium seats will go up for sale? My wife and I got engaged there in 1997 and I would like to be able to purchase the actual seats we use to have a Tues/Friday Night plan for.

Considering that we have a whole season of baseball to get through before the place closes its doors for the last time, it's going to be a while.

I wonder how much seats will be. My guess is they'll be something like $800-$1000 per pair.

I actually have two connected blue padded seats from Shea (with cup holders!) from behind home plate that were replaced in the early 00's - the company that was contracted to replace them had a bunch in their warehouse in LI and sold them on EBay years back - it was wild to go in the warehouse and see piles of old Shea blue seats, most connected 2-3-4 or more in a row. Unfortunately they weren't too delicate in removing them, and most of them were in fair condition - got 2 of the best for only about $100 each, but they're a bit rough. Anyway (without sounding too fanatical?), it would be great to add 2 orange ones and have my own Shea section in my basement tv room! baseball_tongue.gifOriginally posted by dengal View Post
