Ebbets Field, Fenway, Wrigley Field.....sure they are great...Memorial Stadium was the best baby boomer stadium built...the atmosphere was incredible. It was a castle built in a residential neighborhood. Driving along rowhomes and suddenly, the great stadium....magical.....

I suppose it did start the trend towards suburban stadiums that was seen in Kansas City, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Obviously that has been reversed but Memorial Stadium was the first of a trend nevertheless.
