  • Metrodome question

I happened by the Rays vs. Twins game yesterday and noticed that giant circular vent (or whatever it was) behind homeplate was gone from the Metrodome. Any insight as to why? Just curious.

They added two rows of seats in front of those ugly vents a couple years back. There is a new temporary wall about 5 feet in front of them now.

There's a wall in front of them?

So what you're saying is that they're sitting in the best seats in the house (behind home plate) and there's a 5 foot wall in front of them, so they can't see the field?

No, that would be rather foolish, don't you think? I was trying to say that the new fence behind the plate is appx 5 feet forward (horizontally that is) from the wall with the ugly blowers in it. Also note that those seats behind the plate actually face toward where the 2nd baseman usually plays and are about 12 feet off the ground. Not good seats at all. I loath this building and can't wait until 2010. Look at Andrew Clem's site as he shows the correct "curvature" behind the plate at the Metrodome... foolish.

          Oh, NOW I get it.

Does anyone have a picture showing the area behind home plate with the memorial marking for that bridge accident that happened last year? I only saw it briefly on highlights, I don't think I got to see the entire thing.
Please help. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer last summer, and now I'm in a position where I need financial assistance. For the full story, please check out my GoFundMe campaign at https://gofund.me/3874ea2d. Thank you.
