I spent the last couple of weeks going through this thread. Interesting that the Yankees last World Series appearance was in 2010 while RYS was still standing. Zero World Series appearances since RYS was demolished. Ten years down the road and the curse that some in this thread spoke of seems to be alive and well. Just sayin'.

Yeah, and it would also destroy the illusion that Babe Ruth played in NYS.

That would require having owners who care about the Yankees

I believe it was yankeestadium1923 that told us that the balconies were in storage on Randalls Island.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just spent a few days going through this entire thread. I too was left wondering what came of the balconies? Does anybody know where they currently are?

From today's NY Daily News--"Mt Sinai Hospital Queens is set to break ground on a sweeping $125 million expansion on Oct 21, adding a five-story building to bolster it's emergency room and other medical services. To make way for the much-needed developement, a Tudor-style house that was built in 1895 as part of the original Astoria Hospital will need to be taken down. Before that happens, the hospital took an opportunity to look back.CONSTRUCTION WORKERS SPENT TWO HOURS SURGICALLY REMOVING THE BUILDING'S 118-YEAR-OLD SANDSTONE CORNERSTONE TUESDAY.Officials are planning to display the cornerstone in the new building." Once again I say, thank you NYC, Mayor bloomberg, steinbrenner, trost and levine.

Maury Povich, huh? I really thought that it was Stallone. Don't give me a lie detector on that one.

Stallone is in that link in his sig. That's one heck of a business model, you get celebrities to pose with people for $400 a pop, and I guess people eat it all up!

    Court date to be announced.

By the way, Has anyone ever seen the Yankees Classic for the Final game at Yankee Stadium?

    Must not be a classic!
Jesse Barfield in for Joe Torre, and anyone the convicted felon x 2 and family wanted kept out is always a timeless classic.

Of course we've never seen the Final Game on Yankees Classic, because it never happened. The Yanks have always played in the current Stadium, no matter what anyone thinks. Those Final Game photos that Steiner sells are a fraud--it was only the final game of 2008.
