All-Star Game 2008

This is way down the road:

The 2006 All-Star Game is in Pittsburgh's PNC Park. '07 will be in San Francisco.

But since it is the last year of YankeeStadium wouldn't it be nice to have a farewell All-Star Game '08 in the Bronx. The New YankeeStadium will open across the old one in 2009.

It would give the AL another turn because all the new NL Ballparks are lining up (Petco/Citizens Bank/Great American/Busch/"the Ballpark in D.C.") to have their All-Star Game.

I think that the next one for the AL will likely be Kansas City since they haven't hosted since 1973, a full 35 years AFTER they hosted their first game. That team also needs the revenue from the game and the festivities more than any other potential host in the AL.

New York's new park will likely get the 2010 game.

I do think that Yankee Stadium will be in 2008, GABP in 2009, a possible new Twins park in 2010, not sure about 2011, but a Tampa Bay game in 2012.

how bout this,
wouldn't it be great for the premiere franchise in baseball to get the ASG in 2008 to close the stadium and get the 2009 ASG to open the new stadium....i mean the NL is getting the ASG for 2 years in a row why not give it to the AL for 2 years
