I don't know if this has been posted before (a quick glance pulled up nothing) bit I found this pdf about the plans to upgrade Kauffman Stadium in KC.

I don't see why it would. The renovations are pretty easy and on parr with the rest of the league(plazas, wider concourses, entertainment areas). It seems like it's a simple move for a relatively inexpensive price that will help draw in the biggest target audience to most of the ballparks today- families and groups.
