  • Seventh Inning Stretch Songs

This is my first post and I did my best in trying to find this subject throughout the forum, but I had no luck.

I would love to find all the seventh inning stretch songs that are played in the Major League Parks after "God Bless America" and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

I'm familiar with only one or two and it's kind of neat to see how a ballpark is identified by this time honored tradition.

New York Mets - Lazy Mary - Lou Monte
Boston Red Sox - Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
Baltimore Orioles - Thank God I'm a Country Boy - John Denver
Houston Astros - Deep in the Heart of Texas - ?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I've never noticed. I find music at the ballpark to be extremely annoying.

at pac bell in san francisco, "take me out" is played mon-sat, with one of a great variety of songs following.
on sundays, "god bless america" is played before "take me out".
praise the lord that this sunday *tradition* occurs but once a week.

after a giants win, tony bennett's "i left my heart in san francisco" is played.

Thank you everyone that posted. I think this is going to be a little harder than I thought. I also didn't realize that a ballpark would play different songs after "Take Me Out..."

I appreciate everyone's reply. And thank you for welcoming me to the message boards.

                    What's the problem with it?
Mythical SF Chronicle scouting report: "That Jeff runs like a deer. Unfortunately, he also hits AND throws like one." I am Venus DeMilo - NO ARM! It belongs in church, not the ballpark. I also think it sends a bad message to people.

Thank YOU. I have been pleasantly surprised with ALL the mods here. They really try to give a guy a lot of rope, but sometimes the guy insists on hanging himself. Aye-aye and keep up the excellent work, Cap'n :gt
