Thanks. I will probably renew after confirming the club access is the same.

It may not cost them anything but it does cost me. If Excelsior Gold, or whatever they name it for 2022 doesn't come with Delta Club access I will switch to Excelsior Box and save that cost. The seats are great but part of my justification is I also enjoy the Delta Club.

Talked to them about potentially moving my location to somewhere in Prom Infield since it's same price point but they told me right now there's nothing they can do but maybe they could do something closer to the 30 day window ending. Also, it sounds like there will be an additional strip offering but depending on different factors I suppose.
I am convinced that post-season locations for 40's and 20's are based on:
      1. Seating category
      2. Plan type
      3. Tenure

I am not sure how plan type comes into play, but my post-season strip is in 425. Tenure must weigh into post-season locations.

      • Wondering if any of you can share what you are being billed for a promenade box postseason strip and what plan you have.

The reason why I ask, my half season plan is in prom box 410, but I'm being relocated to prom gold 411 for the playoffs, which now places me on the bad side of price break section. That's $1,768 and I'm curious how much I would have saved without being "upgraded".

While you were given an upgraded seat, they aren't charging you more for it.
I am paying $1768 per for my strip in 425.

            Well that's kinda amazing.

They've always expanded it, for the most part.
When CitiField opened, their expected drop in the clubs was not what they expected, so they started opening up the clubs (especially the Prom Club) to others. The Mets faced the wrath of Full / Partials who felt they were not getting the exclusivity they were expecting, so the "on-the-fly" access went away. Then Mets eventually gave every account holder (Full / Partial) access to the Prom Club (at a minimum) regardless of seating location.

I cannot see them backing down now.

The only people I believe who have the potential to get screwed are those who have a full or partial in a location that does not come with native club access (i.e. - Prom Reserved). When they get their strips, club access won't be included. (I want to say this was the case in '15 and '16...) So if you have fulls in 500-level seating, and can currently enjoy pretty much all the clubs, you won't be able to in the post-season..

You're correct on all 3 of those though I don't know in what order specifically. I was told in the season ticket holder clubhouse that plan type absolutely comes into play so fulls get their seats, 40's get next priorities, then 20's are next though priority is given based on type of plan (aka money spent so 20 game Satuday's get priority over Sunday's as an example).

That being said, my example is I'm in 424 row 3 on the aisle closer to 423. My tenure is 2015 (10 game plan prior to season starting, converted to 20 after the season when they axed the 10's) and I have a 20 game Saturday. I got put in 430 row 1 on the aisle closer to 431. My thinking is they tried to match up the fact that I'm on an aisle. But that being said, my buddy who is also in 424 with 2016 tenure got put all the way out in 433. So if that's how it's going for 20 game Saturdays, where are the other 20's being put?

I also heard of someone with 100's outfield getting put in the Coke Corner.

Take it for what it's worth. I am on the 20-game Saturday plan, too as well. I am seated in 423, and have been there since the last plan revamp (from 15's to 20's). I am convinced there are very few, if any, better seats allocated to 20-game plans between me and the Prom Gold demarcation line.

In 2015, my strip was in 405/4.
In 2016, it was in 424/5 (The row on the concourse level).
I forgot where I was ticketed for 2019, but I think they put me in 425 or 426.
This season, I was ticketed in 425, and given aisle seats (on 424 to boot).

                  My tenure is 1995.

It would be safe to say that any additional post-season-displacement I've seen over the years is due to an increase in 40's and fulls in 400 level seating. I don't think there are many 20's with greater tenure than me. Tenure explains the difference between my location and yours...

Tenure is definitely the difference, I'm just shocked at how big the disparity was in my location compared to previous years. 2016 and 2019 I believe were both somewhere in the neighborhood of 427/428. Not in love with it as I prefer being close to the infield but certainly understandable given the need to incorporate everyone for full strips. Was not expecting to be behind the foul pole though given my normal location.

At this rate though, this conversation almost seems like a moot point with how they're playing and the upcoming schedule.

I am certain that it works this way...

                      1. Fulls get their seats.
                      2. 40's get the best leftovers, based on tenure (plan does not matter; weekend or weekday)
                      3. 20's get what's left after that, based on tenure (plan does not matter; weekday, Saturday, or Sunday)

If there are more fulls and 40's, the 20's will get displaced.
In the end, there isn't a lot of Prom Box seating. It doesn't take alot to fill up the queue.

When the Mets open the books to new business, I always go shopping to see what is on the street. There isn't a lot of Prom Box infield seating up for sale. Personally I think it's the bast value in the ballpark for the price.

                      • This makes sense. Select-A-Seat was always based on tenure, and your account always says something about "member since xx year".

I was playing around online and located the template that they used for renewals. (My idea of fun). Interestingly, not everyone is on auto-renewal with a payment plan option:

                        • Has anyone had any interactions with their reps about relocating for the 2022 season? I am going to request a downgrade to a 20 game plan next year and want to know what I am in for.

                          • I asked my rep for the individual game pricing by category rather than the lump sum plan cost. Crickets. Guess they're not allowed to reveal such classified information so it's easier to exercise the right to remain silent.

On a separate note, I found out that the Mets are testing out facial recognition software to expedite ballpark entry. Currently it's a voluntary signup for limited seating categories. Your face is linked to your account and ticket barcode; you look into a screen instead of showing your phone. I don't know why this would be so much better. They are still going to search your bags and you, plus there are other checkpoints within the stadium which may or may not have the same setup, and also parking lots. Me, I prefer paper tickets, but if they are not going to have those, dunno why this would be such an improvement over showing your phone.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this was the beginning of stopping resales . None of those enhancements , so to speak , favor the ticket buyers . Paper tickets , print at home , smart phone , facial recognition , what could be next .
