Just picked up that Amazon Scorebig voucher ($40) which cost me.. $8..

Add in $30 I had in referrals.. so $70 to spend...

I picked up 6 tickets for the Franco Bobble head day... and got em for $19 per ticket.. (Basically $52 out of pocket for 6 premium game tickets, not too shabby)

On the email confirmation, it lists the seats as 517 row 4... not bad..

Went over to stub hub dot com to see if they posted any updates. I could not find any, but DID browse MLB tickets for sale for 2013.

Although all the games are posted, a disclaimer pops up when you enter the page for a game reading that listings will not go live until late January 2013.. But you can set price alerts now...

Went over to stub hub dot com to see if they posted any updates. I could not find any, but DID browse MLB tickets for sale for 2013.

Although all the games are posted, a disclaimer pops up when you enter the page for a game reading that listings will not go live until late January 2013.. But you can set price alerts now...

I am going to be way behind in sales compared to last year. I would bet there were some discusions between MLB and Stubhub about the dates to allow resales. It benefits MLB to have as much time to only allow the teams to sell tickets. It will also create a larger inventory in late Jan which will lower resale prices. Bad for season ticket holders.

The Mets posted this image of a ticket for the 4/3/13 game on Facebook in connection with their $12 ticket offer...



Looks like a real ticket to me, but I can't believe the Mets would use a winter design for a summer game, and I also can't believe, especially with the financial problems they've having, that they would go to the expense of printing up a separate design for a seasonal promotion.

Interesting to see that the tickets are still perforated - as far as I know, the only time they still actually tear tickets is on Citi Field tours, and since I only did those in 2010, I don't know if they continued to tear them in '11 and '12 - and on the "stub" portion, how small the seat location is. And, just from an aesthetic sense, I don't like how scrunched up the date and time is.

If Piazza gets elected to the Hall in January I would hope they would have a Piazza Night this year and retire his number. Also at the ASG I would hope they would recognize him too..

Seaver will throw out the first pitch to Piazza at the ASG. I don't think there's really any question about that, is there?
