Well construction is over, so I think people should start talking about Marlins Park (post construction) here.
Really its not too bad looking, the neon green walls could get repainted hopefully one day.

That's not how it really goes over here. Look back at the Citi Field and NYS construction pages. Both of them simply rolled over into the pages they are today...the mods just changed the title of the thread to remove the word "construction". It's just easier and more convenient that way.

Yea i just realized they are consolidating threads.. I was looking back for the Shea demolition thread and hadnt realized it was combined with the Shea Stadium thread with everything else Shea related. To me should have been left as the Shea Demolition thread for easier documentation as access. Now everything is jumbled together?? Is Citifield contruction thread Mixed in with Citi field thread now?? wasnt it better to have theses type of threads seperated?? Just a thought...

            1) construction is not over, they still have two more test run games against the yankees
and I do expect some changes to be made after that
            2) the title should have been Marlins Park, not marlins stadium
            3) there is a marlins stadium thread in the Miami Marlins forum that was started in sept 2008
as other posters stated when the time is right the MODs will take care of merging the threads

Only 2 parks have a park thread and a construction thread, Yankee and citi. I am just playing devils adv. but they both have over 500 pages which is more than any other stadium thread with construction and regular pages combined.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.

Plus, as you can see from the interior webcam, the outfield walls (i.e. bullpens) are still not done. You can see right through them.

Also it looks like that area in between the bullpen and the out of town scoreboard is also unfinished.

For me at least, it's really nice to be able to go one thread about a particular ballpark and be able to see all of the info on it one place.

... especially that considering that an inactive thread will eventually float to the bottom and fall of Baseball Fever forever.

Well I'm sorry then. I think it was the citi and yankee's thread that gave me the impression that stadiums get a new thread when they are done. My mistake.

Actually, in addition to Citi Field and Yankee Stadium [II], Tiger Stadium has remaining both Demolition and Preservation threads in addition to its namesake thread, and Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium [I] have renovation threads which still exist.

At least for now, I don't think it's a reach to leave the Marlins Park threads as two separate threads. Construction on Marlins Park isn't fully complete, yet the Park will, as of April, have a distinct discussion of its own. Perhaps one day they'll be combined, but for now I think we'll leave them as is.

The Miami section of the Forum Index has been modified to reflect the correct topics and both thread titles have been renamed to be accurate.

P.S. Shea Stadium's threads were consolidated primarily because there were over half a dozen threads discussing the same park, with demolition posts scattered throughout. It would've been way too much unpaid work for me to separate all the posts into two separate threads, so they became part of the one thread.

P.P.S. It's very much appreciated that this board is aware of its general policies. Ideally, everyone who begins a new Ballpark thread would alert us to it, but we can't expect something from many members who aren't aware of that ideal. We end up seeing new Ballpark threads anyway, so it's not a biggie.
                          Put it in the books.
