  • Foul pole closest to stadium's upper level grandstand

What stadium has the shortest distance between its upper level grandstand and the foul pole?
Holding a pitcher accountable for how many runs his team scores is like holding the designated hitter accountable for how many runs his team allows.

An individual statistic is meaningful only if it is based strictly on what the player does and not on what the other players on his team do.

Contrary to what most baseball fans claim, a pitched ball which is hit into play is not a strike.

Define "upper level grandstand" more clearly please.

Do you consider Citi's Porch or Target Field's LF upper bleacher deck as such? Because each of those parks has the foul pole right up against the upper deck facing.

Lots of defunct ballparks were: Yankee Stadium, Tiger Stadium, Polo Grounds, Forbes...

            Polo Grounds for the win...

The upper deck overhang was 21 feet in left, so the foul pole attached to the facade/front row was actually in FAIR territory as compared to the field below.

Sportsman's Pak was interesting... The pole was flush with the seats in left, helping the umpire if needed.

With regards to modern ballparks... GREAT question. Do the RF bleaches in Texas extend from Right center all the wa to the foul pole?

If you consider the Monster Seats an "upper deck"....

                Texas...

No upper deck near the foul pole in right.

Because of the overhang in left field at the Polo Grounds, depending on your vantage point, the two fouls poles sometimes appeared to NOT ALIGN with each other. The Upper Deck Pole appears to be slightly LEFT of the rest of the pole in this image.
