  • Scale Model of AT&T Park

    Hello all,

I thought I would share with you guys something I have been working on for the past two years. Being a residient of San Francisco and avid Giants fan I took it upon myself to construct the home of the Giants. Hope you guys enjoy.

      Wow great work!
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.

Amazing. I have so much admiration for those of you that build these beautiful models and even more appreciation for you sharing them with us.

Looking forward to more shots of your progress.

Believe me this is by no means a project without trial and error. I have taken this model apart to bare bones because I found a better way of construction.

A tip to those who want to build something like this is to look at the original construction photos of a park. I closely resemble the same process and look.

Here are a couple of links I use to gain ideas and insight.

                I couldn’t tell you. lol

When I started this project I didn’t think I would ever get this far. So i started out eye balling the blue prints, and paid close attention to pictures. I also have a Danbury mint scale model of the park. I use many of the angles and proportions to build the model.

If I had to put a scale on it i would put it close to 1:160 - 1:170. (Although Im not entirely sure)

Here is how the model began (which completely changed through trail and error, also notice the crappy sheet of plywood I used, as I didn’t think it would turn out this well.)

I couldn't have said it better! I'm always amazed by these labors of love, especially when they come out so well. Great work, Andrew!!

                  Put it in the books.
