  • New England Catching Camp to Offer College Scholarship

Here is a heads up to all New Hampshire 2006 Graduating Catchers.

Below is the text of a press release that will be appearing soon in most major NH newspapers announcing a Scholarship that my camp will be awarding to a graduating baseball or softball catcher.

I will be doing a clinic session at the NH High School Baseball Coaches Association Meeting on 2/12 and will be handing out information sheets and applications to all of the HS coaches that will be attending. I will be asking them to get them to the seniors on their teams that have caught and might be interested in applying for the scholarship.

I have also sent an email to the board of the NH Softball Coaches Association and asked for a contact person I can send the applications to for the girls.

My website will also have all the scholarship information in another week or two. You can also send me an email in the mean time and I will be glad to send the forms to you.

Catchers from baseball as well as softball can apply.

PRESS RELEASE: The New England Catching Camp is pleased to announce it will award one $500.00 scholarship this spring to a graduating New Hampshire High School student that has been a catcher on their high school team. The scholarship can be applied for by either baseball or softball players. All applications received will be reviewed by a panel of NECC staff members as well as a group of individuals from business, education, and athletics. The group will make their selection of the 2006 recipient by May 1st, 2006.
