Our Middle School Baseball team is considering purchasing the ATEC Multi-Purpose Net for tee work and soft toss. We have plenty of comments on the Easton and Jugs pop-up nets, but the coach is a big fan of ATEC. Any reviews that you have about this product would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at this model and it seems quite nice - http://www.ondecksports.com/index.ph...category_id=49
I have the Easton Pop-Up net and I like it because it goes up in about 1 minute and can take it down in less time. It is so easy to use. The ATEC net looks similar, but I would make sure it is easy to set up/ take down. You don't want to spend 30 precious practice minutes setting up and taking down equipment.
I bought my Easton net for $100 and this ATEC model looks to be $95. So I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I have an older ATEC model that goes together like a popup tent, with the fiberglass poles, and it takes 5-10 minutes to put up, a little quicker with help. I do like to use it, but it's a pain in the butt if you are putting it up and down alot. This is the model that I have...
I have the Easton popup nets as well, and they go up and down in a matter of minutes. Much nicer if your on the go and have to put them up and down numerous timesLast edited by Lady_Knights; 02-05-2008, 10:16 AM.The Magicman Principle

This is the one that I think the coach is considering; the one on jbolt's reply.
Thanks for the comments in advance.

And, yeah, they're a pain to put together. You're basically putting up a tent every time you use it, but, because you're using netting instead of nylon for the sides, the poles get snagged in the netting inside the bag.sigpicIt's not whether you fall -- everyone does -- but how you come out of the fall that counts.
