  • Strong Front side

I have heard that it's better to pull the glove in and keep it tight and rotate with the left side of chest/shoulder if you are right handed.

Is this better for velocity to transfer through the shoulders if you pull hard with both of them and keep the Glove side arm tight?

From personal experience and what has seemed to work for the pitchers I have coached, I like Tom House's idea of altering the glove position to help with location, rather than moving the throwing arm. As such, I don't necessarily buy into the theory of a "firm front side," since tilting the shoulders by lowering the glove position to help if the pitcher is missing high/inside (most common location problem that I have seen) might violate that axiom.

    I hope that makes sense.
