don't get any of them IMO
I had the explosive pitching one was good but his ideas on hip rotation are off. Also weighted baseballs and other things like no long toss at all are off.
Momentum pitching LMAO if that is the way you want to go then so be it but i don't like it.

I said he was way off on the long toss and weighted baseballs.
Now I do think weighted baseballs should be within 20% and also I think 4oz baseball is better then 6oz baseball and studies conclude that lighter baseball increases more mph then heavy.
Nothing more then 6oz is my rule. I know DM is different but that is with DM, the normal motion anything more then 20% is to much and anything less then 20% is unsafe.
Works for some not for others.

I was thinking look at sandy koufax he has somewhat, what dick mills preaches, the step back, bringing the hands up to head level or higher, striding between home and 3rd, or 1st and home for him... think about it2008 varsity stats

Advice.
James,
Jacob, aka RiStar, was removed from Dick Mills forum a few months back at the urging of most people there. He's energetic, he's opinionated, and he is strong willed; all great attributes except in a forum friendly service provided by Dick Mills and only for Dick Mills clients. At 16, Jacob breaks the rule of doing twice as much listening and only half as much talking. Are you listening Jacob?
At this point, Dick Mills only makes his new momentum DVD available to current clients. Meaning, short of a boot leg, you would have to become a client. Not overly expensive, but he does not give it away either.
In the meantime, watch Sandy Koufax, Whitey Ford, and Nolan Ryan. Watch them frame by frame and take note of the starts, the hips, the hand breaks, the speed at which they move to landing and their alignments. You'll figure it out. Work from the stretch for awhile and then work in the windup.
Don't be a robot.
Enjoy!

Dick mills brings up good points I agree but the MLB will never accept his views. I do not accept his views on long toss and weight lifting either. But lets no get into huge arguement about that.
jamesh pitching is about balance and timing keep working on that and you will become pretty good.
______
Fastball I made that rule because of what I have seen with two heavy a ball the mechanics change a little bit. and also studies say that 4oz and 6oz improve pretty good too. Like one said something like 4.32 for 4oz and 3.38 for 6oz.
Ps. I had to challenge dick mills for his lack of knowledge about workouts and how energy is transfered through the body.

If you're serious about developing your throwing capabilities, then I can't recomend Nymans material enough.
You could also do as App mentioned (in fact it's probably a good idea to look at the best throwers ever and do what you can to be effecient as they are in their throwing), and watch video, but you really need to learn what the throw process involves.
It takes a lot of time and a lot of work, but it is worth it IMO.
And as far as weighted balls are concerned, you should always be in in top condition BEFORE you use them, and if you are, then there should be no problem throwing a 12 oz ball or a 3 oz ball.
But you can't neglect the rest of your body either. Being in top condition means not only your arm, but the legs, torso, and all the other components (i.e your whole body) need to be trained.
Throw....and throw some more.

the true way to increase mph is the pitch more and more everyday with great workout. There is no magic bullet, The over/under training is just one of many things that need to be used during training.
Things like long toss are great ways to increase velocity. But you have to be progressive and try to keep pushing the envelope in your throwing. If you can't long toss, then a net and a radar gun indoors can be just as good.

how can I become a part of dick mills clients? nd thanks for everything guys, with my normal delivery my stride is 56" this is from flat ground and leading with my hip, using momentum pitching with the big step back, and knee lift between home and 3rd its 65" and when I lead with my hip its about 67" which is 99% of my height2008 varsity stats

pitching dot com.
There is a free mailer. When you get it, read through it and judge for yourself. Thousands of Dads get the program after spending lots of money with instructors locally with minimal results. Lots of HS kids buy the program because they don't have access to concrete info and are looking to get a leg up on the competition. Dick keeps busy working mostly with college and minor league pitchers who are feeling let down by their institutions of higher learning or are hoping to squeeze those last few mph out of their bodies and get to the next level.
Jacob, at 15, decided that he knew more than a 63 year old with a good track record and a wife with degrees in athletic physical training. Argued until he turned everyone off and then got the boot.
Although Dick keeps busy doing his thing, anytime any of us give advice that is not quite right, he is always there to steer the ship. Dads & HS kids post for review, ask many questions, things are kept really light, nurturing and never really venture off pitching. You can even call Dick and talk for 15 minutes during a 1 hour period each week and discuss progress and concerns.
Ask yourself if Sandy Koufax, Bob Feller, Bob Gibson or Goose Gossage used weighted balls and long tossed on purpose more than once a week. It used to be called "having a catch" and it was something you did until your turn on the mound where the real work was done. None of them weight lifted. None of them took baby steps to the side, moved like glaciers then tried to throw hard with just their arms.
Just ask them what it's like to be in the HOF.
I don't know what credit Tom House likes to take for Nolan Ryan's longevity, but the advice given 25 years ago had to be at least better than the advice many have give in the past 15 years, including Dick Mills. He says he gave up the KoolAid (research Jim Jones, Guyana) in 2004 and decided he didn't want to parrot what every other instructor was doing. Why? Because it didn't sound right and it bothered him enough to change.
I'm genuinely interested in what Tom and Nolan agreed on. If anyone can chime in that would be great. I'm only aware of the high leg kick, which in reality was just part of Nolan's timing mechanism. You don't gain velocity vertically. If you really watch Nolan, he moved fast, got those hips way past the rubber and broke his hand late and got excellent back leg extension.
Just a real pleasure to watch and a night and day difference compared to today. I believe people are beginning to wake up from the cloud that has hung through this generation.
...now where did I put my HGH? Tsk, tsk, is my wife using it again? Poor Roger...I'll stop now...I'm writing like a Larry King column.
Cheers.
