Connor, I've done some clinics before with Mike Matheny. He's top notch! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes does a clinic every year in St. Louis and the area high school coaches are asked to participate. In years past, I've done several things but now, they ask that I do the hitting. Neat but one thing that isn't so neat is that we do that at indoor cages (gym) in a rotation and so, I don't get to spend as much time with the players doing infield, fly balls, pitching etc. Oh, kids that are underpriviledged get to attend as well. I've heard Mike speak several times and he's one of the best.

Yes it is. The conference I coach in is very competitive. However, all of the coaches in our conference are also members and so, in the end, we have our priorities in the right place. All of my conference colleagues have also gone over to work this clinic. Getting to work with the Cardinals is great but the real treat is to see some of the disadvantaged get to work with those kids that have serious skills. They end up helping each other if you know what I mean.
