  • Good OF Glove

Hey guys, I am hopefully going into my first year on varsity as a junior. Previously on JV I only played in the infield, primarily SS but at times, especially last year at 3B. I currently have this glove http://www.hitrunscore.com/a2000-178...ll-gloves.html. I used to only play in the OF before HS but my coach made me transition. On varsity I will probably see more playing time in the OF so I was thinking what glove should I get. Would be nice if within same price range as the 1786 but wouldn't mind anything higher. I have been thinking about these:

This Rawlings Pro Preferred represents the new Gold Standard for gloves. Carefully crafted from the finest leather, this glove will break-in fast and easy. And for comfort, fit and durability, the Pro Preferred has no equal. It is used by numerous Major League ballplayers because of its durability and ability to be broken-in quickly. Pro Preferred Series gloves are easy to break in because of the their Kip Leather which is soft and very durable. This Rawlings Pro Preferred series glove is Rawlings top of the line baseball glove. The index finger has gel pads covered by genuine deerskin lining for added protection. Genuine deerskin also is on the palm lining for comfort, fit and durability. The 100% wool padding ensures long-lasting wear and a custom fit with easier break in. The laces are pretested to 100 tensile strength for durability. Step up to a new glove and step up your game. Free Shipping.

First one is a bit pricey, but seems nice. Exactly what differences would I see between the two?

Which ever one you get make sure you can get it game ready in time.

The Pro Preferred is a pro quality glove with much stiffer leather. The Gold Glove is a very nice glove, the leather is much softer. It will break into game shape much quicker and be useable this season. Buy both, use the GG right now in practice to get it game ready. Start breaking in the Pro Preferred and it may be ready for summer ball. Good luck!
