today we play pueblo west for JV which is a 4A team we are 3A so I hope we do good, im starting the first game I will be pitching. last time I threw on saturday these were my stats and I did the best out of all our pitchers.

    2 IP, 2 k's, 1 BB, 2 hits, 1 run

anyway what are some things I can do to get ready? I was thinking of visualizing of course about 20 mins before we get to the field, of striking out 12, and throwing a no hitter haha. I wish. and going 4 for 4 with 1 HR

it was good, but I think I tweaked it again, as im typing this my middle, and ring finger tips went numb.

      I pitched 3 innings,

      3 IP, 5BB, 1 k, 7 hits allowed, 7 runs

      very bad

      the other pitched did 3 IP, 2 k', 9 hits, 10 runs.

If you really love baseball, you would shut it down. The numbness is a very bad sign.

It's his choice... I don't think he realizes that he will never get anywhere without an arm... DH's don't get drafted out of HS.

He's not going to get to varsity without an arm. And he could be destroying it right now. If he were my son I'd take him to an sports medicine expert who would tell him to shut it down.

Hey... too bad he's not your son... too bad its his choice. We should respect his choices, although he doesn't want to here it. Heck, he'll be mad when he reads this.

Good luck this year... I'm really pulling for ya!

OK, I'll respect his very poor decision. I say this as a hint of advice.

James you need to tell your parents and your coach about this asap. Don't ruin your arm for life. You may not understand it now, but you will later in your life, trust us old guys, your better off resting and healing then pushing it and making it worse.

I played college volleyball, I played in a grass doubles tourney, I messed up my shoulder so bad during the tourney that I could not even swing at a ball, we put some special cream on it and finished the tourney(WE WON) but I couldn't even turn over in bed that night because my shoulder hurt so bad. I would give that win back any day of the week now. I ended up needing to go under the knife because of it. It pretty much ended any chance I had of playing at a higher level and I still today cannot throw a baseball or play volleyball without my muscles getting messed up. I know its hard to believe your hurt, but at least have it checked out. Your only risking a life long injury, its not just about this season. Trust me on this!!

GoC, choices made out of (a) machismo, (b) ignorance (as to the actual medical condition and to the possible consequences of continued pitching), and (c) the immaturity of high school students are not to be respected unreservedly. That's why you can't drink at your age, or give medical advice.

Sorry, GoC. I like you and respect a lot of your baseball thinking, but what maturity sometimes gives you is the understanding of what the limits and scope of your knowledge happens to be. You have exceeded your limits. It's like telling a drunk buddy -- "Hey, hang onto your car keys buddy -- if you can't take Highway 17 into Santa Cruz with a .15 blood alcohol level, you're a wimp, dude!" As others have noted, there are a lot of things that many of us can no longer do because we "played through pain".

Talk to your parents and coach and go see a doctor, James.
sigpicIt's not whether you fall -- everyone does -- but how you come out of the fall that counts.

Shut it down and see a sports specialist.

Why do you think they invented summer and fall ball?

It looks to me to be his typing if he is numbing out posting. You need to have proper posture while typing or you will get caparl tunnel.

                            Sigh.

It's sad that your coaches allow you to pitch like this; even sadder if they don't know about it when you lie to them.

ok, it was tendonitis, I had 1 month of Pysical therapy, I seen a sports specialist he said he seen nothing wrong nd I could continue to throw after the PT my velocity is back up to 72-74, when it hurt it was at about 65. so im good now, im regaining my long toss strength though. sorry I went to a tourney with the varsity for the last 4 days.
