I found out something interesting last week about Hawaiian colleges. If you know any kid with Hawaiian ancestry, you might pass it on.
All Hawaiian colleges now offer in state tuition to students who have Hawaiian ancestry, even if they've never lived in the state. There is a registry (maybe more than one), and once a person is in the registry, he or she is eligible for the in state rate. I have a former student who is a stud outfielder who will be taking advantage of this next year when he goes out to play for the University of Hawaii.
