  • Is it possible?

I am constantly told to release the ball out in front of my face, instead of in line with my shoulders. Is this correct?

When i do this and look in the mirror, it almost looks as if im pushing the ball.

However, when i look at some of the elite pitchers of MLB, none of them do this. Ptchers like Roy Oswalt or Josh Beckett, do not release out in front of them, but rather to the side.

Next, when i release out in front of me, it feels as if i am pulling down my whole body using my arm.

So the question still stands, is is correct to release out in front of your body?
