  • How do I measure basepaths?

If i measure 90' home to 1st where do I start and end? I always thought it was the tip of HP to the back of base.....any idea?

The diamond, or square of the base paths is a 90 foot square (as you know.)

Home, first and third bases sit INSIDE the square. The point at second base however, is in the middle of second base. Second base does not sit within the 90 foot square.

See rule 1.00 Diagram number 2 in the rule book.
