  • Scorekeeping program for Pocket PC?

I've found several but they all seem to work on Palm OS and not on windows mobile. More and more devices are using windows mobile, including both of my smartphones a Motorola Q and a Treo 700.

Anyone have any ideas for me? What I want to do is keep the scorebook on the PDA which then syncs to the computer program. Most create spray charts and let you search data.

The main thing I'm looking for is pitch data, including location, type, and sequence of pitches.

    Thanks

Google is your friend. I have never used it and do not know anything about it.

I've experiemented with the ALL Pro Software mentioned above for the computer (not the pocket PC version). Based on my limited experience, it will track sequence of pitchs (balls and strikes), but will not track pitch location or type. It will create spray charts for hitters. I don't know if works on the Windows mobile platform...you'll have to check the web site. I seem to recall it allows you to download a demo...you just can't save anything you put into the demo.

Dude. I said I haven't used it and did not know how good it was. What I do know is that it says it is for Windows mobile 6.0/5.0/2003. Nowhere on the site that I linked to does it say Palm OS.

          Minimum System Requirements:
          Pocket PC compatible handheld computer
          Windows Mobile 6.0/5.0/2003
          Stylus
          1 MB of RAM
          Serial Port or USB connection
StatTrak K-ForCE is compatible with handheld Pocket PCs running Windows Mobile 6.0, 5.0, 2003, or 2002. This includes HP iPAQ, Sony, Dell, Toshiba, and others, and also Palm Treo 700w. This is the only Palm device that runs Windows Mobile.

Please note StatTrak K-ForCE is not compatible with the Palm operating system. Your device must be running Windows Mobile and use a stylus. StatTrak K-ForCE is also not compatible with Smartphones, BlackJack, Motorola Q, or BlackBerry devices.

To make sure StatTrak K-ForCE is compatible with your handheld, you can download the free trial version.

                Baseball Scorebook is excellent

I have not used their pda companion much. I use TurboStats Scorekeeper for the palm, primarily because I have years and years of my son's stats in TurboStats and Scorekeeper imports directly.

BUT there are numerous things I do NOT like about Scorekeeper and would likely use BB Scorebook otherwise. I have used their Desktop version for years and highly recommend it. My impression is that their pda version is just as excellent.

By the way, Baseball Info Solutions uses a slightly modified version of their desktop version for scoring and tracking stats of minor league games.
Also, the direct url for the program is http://www.fixedit.com
