Ok here it is my son is 15, he pitches for his freshman team he has undergone and still going to an instructor for five years. My problem is i manage his sr. league rec. team his high school coach tells him he does not want him to pitch for rec. ball his instructor said just to watch his pitch count and how many days rest in between games and keep the rec ball innings low just to stay loose we can go back and forth with this and trust me he is in top shape, running, light lifting, we ice and heat when needed also stretch. His concern is if he pitches for me the high school coach will get "ticked" and not let him pitch! What to do?

What to do, what to do? NO CONTEST!!! Pitch for the HS and shut down the other stuff until that is over, end of story. Otherwise, he may be free to pitch all the rec you want, b/c he may wind up cut.
I agree with these guys. Shut down outside rec, travel or club ball during the high school season. I don't take my son to his pitching coach during the high school season. I do take him to his batting coach who gives him more time and complements the high school coach's instruction.

Once you have made it to high school ball, that should be your only team, unless you are playing during the HS off-season.
