    Or, to put it another way, he's squishing the bug -- the back foot is spinning in place, and incompletely at that. There's very little forward movement of his body to impel his back hip around the front hip.

    He's not using his legs correctly, and his hips aren't ahead of his hands. He's hitting it deep from shear upper body strength. He could hit it 30 - 40 feet farther if he got better lower body action, and got the lower body to lead the swing.

    Back knee straightening isn't good and restricts rotation. Bigger problem is bat drag IMO.
