Study clips of ml hitters compared to Mike's teaching as relates to weight shift, adjustment for low pitches and the weather vaning concept. Do a search on here and other public boards for Epstein for food for thought.

I got the "Do We Teach What We Really See" DVD, and his book. IMO, that is all you really need (if you are going to go his route). That DVD covers most you'll need to know about doing it his way, and the book is a good reference for when you need to look back and go over a few things.

Curious, is it true that Epstein disses the weight shift?

it really comes down to what kind of person you are, I personally like to see what I am learning and therefor the use of the dvd's was important and the cd was not so important. The cd breaks everything down piece by piece though and if you like to read its a great place to start.

I bought his package only after looking over all of the materials that are freely available on his website and then experimenting with his approach and concepts. There is an awful lot of insight you can get just by studying the articles and short video clips. Once you are able to put that into practice and feel like it works for you only then do I reccomend that you make the investment. Like all baseball training stuff, lessons, gear, etc., its only good if you use it and try to apply it.

    Have fun and play hard!

    Mike Epstein on Hitting

I have seen numerous good reviews of the Mike Epstein products on this forum. Right now, I can't justify the purchase of his entire baseball package (2 books, 2 DVDs, 1 CDrom). For those of you more familiar with his system/products, where would be a good place to start? Should I start with his "Mike Epstein on Hitting" book and work from there? How would people rate the overall quality/effectiveness of each of his separate products?

    Thanks
