  • Looking for Training Schools in Cen-Cal. Search Ideas?

    Hi All,

I am looking for some good baseball academies here in Central California. I know of a few, but I want to see everything available to decide on the best one.

If you are in the Cen-Cal area, can you recommend any good academies or training facilities? If not, do you have any recommended searching techniques that I can find them with? I have done the google searches but nothing comes up. I must be searching wrong.

    Any ideas?

Club All Star in Stockton, CenCal in Oakdale and All Star Sports Academy in Tracy are a few.

I know of CenCal and of Rainbow Fields in Modesto. I'll take a look at the other two you mentioned. Any idea on how well they're ran?

I have family that go to Hard90 Baseball Academy (http://hard90baseball.com/) in Roseville and it looks great. It's too far for us, but I want to find something of that quality in our area.

Club All Star has some very good teams in tb. Their 13 Blue team is arguably one of the top teams in NorCal - very strong. I don't know much about All Star Sports Academy but their teams usually do very well.

Thanks guys - I responded to the PMs. I appreciate the replies!!!

A little more info - My son is 10 and has expressed interest on joining a TB team. However, I do not know if his talent level is there yet for that kind of competetion and I definitely do not want to shell out the money for it if he doesn't get anything out of it.

I told my son that before we jump into TB he needs see a professional instructor first to figure out what he needs to improve on and how. Then we could work on those areas for a while and maybe next year work towards getting on a TB team.

He needs lessons first, from someone other than me. And from someone who can really assess him and tell me/him if he is ready for TB or not.

I believe his ability is there, but it needs refinement. Something I have not been able to give him as a Dad/Coach.

Sent a PM. One advantage of the academy I recommended is that you do not have to attend all their training sessions. You can just attend on weekends or when you can make it and pay only for those sessions.
