  • Torque Technique

I read this arcticle at webball regarding the "shoulder torque" technique. I tried it out off a tee and thought it felt great. Any opinions on the pros/cons of this approach?

This is almost exactly what Mike Epstein teaches.

You need to understand more of WHAT needs to be accomplished and WHY, and the various ways of HOW to accomplish it.

To get the most speed into the bathead, you need to have the bathead be the last item to move toward the ball. The body rotation needs to move the bat HANDLE around the body, leaving the bathead back until it is whipped around. That is all this guy is teaching, but not very well explained as to why you need to do that, or other methods to accomplish the goal.

Paul Patricca (sp) is very close to Steve E on many issues.

I also thought he was close to Epstein but he is not.

          Obviously some differences also.

I think a lot can be learned from studying his stuff. He sent me a video of it years ago. Very interesting.
