Thanks for the tip, I was worried at first that they weren't leather but they are.

I have used these synthetic practice balls for about a year including using them as the team balls for a season of fall Little League. I haven't had any fall apart and they work great for practice.

I find the synthetic balls get deformed and out of round.

              Same here.

They don't even work as BP balls due to this.

There's no way I would use cheap, synthetic balls (even the Rawlings ones) as game or fielding practice balls.

Save your money and buy more expensive balls. It'll be worth it in the long run.

I actually purchased this same ball/bucket combination and they've held up well over spring/summer all-star/fall ball. One thing, though, is that some of the balls where not stitched well (i.e., there were small gaps or the leather was visably stretched). This wasn't a big deal for me as I was only using them for practice but your mileage may vary.

Also, these have raised seams. I use a pitching machine for BP and that caused some variability in the pitch location/quality. That's not necessarily a bad thing but more of an FYI.

Thanks for the feedback Rufus. I'm leaving a note for Santa (or my wife) by the computer to order them for me as a Christmas gift. I already have 3 premium baseballs for pitching to stuff in my son's stocking. Speaking of which, I might need a bigger stocking now.

And those synthetic plasticy covered balls suck. We've got a few mixed in with our BP balls that are going bye-bye once Santa brings me new baseballs.
