  • Man in black

Hey y'all. I've picked up a Texas accent in the last couple days, and it didn't come from listening to Bush or Delay speeches. Steve is spending the weekend in western New York and, as usual, being a blast furnace of batting info. Every kid I saw come in the door today went out with a much better understanding of what to do with that bat. The improvement in some was spectacular (fortunately a couple of them are on my team).

I want to extend special thanks to Coach Z and Coach Jim from Canada for bringing their girls down to my remote village. They saved me from a less than spectacular response in my own town. But, the few who came went away converts.

And thanks to this entire board for turning me on to rotational hitting and Steve.

It won't be long until you'll have to turn them away.

The results are coming in very quickly.

Did you learn what a sombitch is?

Yep, and I learned a new technical term: You suck

Of course, that term was never directed toward the kids, but toward a fictional third person who displayed poor PCR.

I just dropped Steve Enlishbey off at the airport. He's on his way home from Buffalo. The only way to describe the weekend, is "my brain is about to explode." I think I overdosed on hitting mechanics.

I spent the entire weekend watching Steve run a couple of clinics and it. This guy worked his butt off helping these young ladies and young men putting in 10 and 12 hour days. Everyone and I mean everyone that came saw improvement. I was proud to be able to provide access to such a high level of hitting instruction to my team. He exceeded everyone's expectations.

If anyone ever gets a chance to have Steve come in and instruct, do not pass up the opportunity. I'm still overwhelmed. I also learned a lot myself and it will make me a better coach.

He is going to start working on a more professional DVD and a new web site should be up an running soon. I can't wait.

People around the country may be mad at those of us in Buffalo though. The temperature was a bit cool this weekend and from all the high energy talking Steve does before, during and after the clinics, he began to LOSE HIS VOICE.

It was nice working with BBJunkie, keep in touch.

Thanks to Steve too. He left a great impression on Buffalo.

I'd say it's more likely the hitters and parents ran out of gas at that point than Steve.

The hitters seemed OK, some parents got tired and I was and still am exhausted.

Steve just needs to learn to come out of his shell a little bit.

                Envious in Iowa

Sounds like Coach Zee and BBjunkie are in heaven...wishing it was Iowa, though...

Couldn't get enough interest in my area to bring Steve up to Iowa, but I'm hoping someday...

If anyone is within "shouting" distance of the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area and would be interested in co-hosting Steve some weekend, let me know.....
