I've seen the commercial where it's endorsed by Longoria and Pedroia, but is there anything special about the hitting jackit? Or will a doughnut give you the same results?

Bat doughnuts and sleeves are meant to help stretching out the arms and torso before regular hitting. They aren't meant for taking regular swings or hitting baseballs with (although almost everyone but big league players use them for this).

The hitting jacket looks to like it is designed to be used in the swing against real baseballs. You can use the jacket for stretching as you do with doughnuts, but I think you get the addition of hitting baseballs with soft toss or a tee or whatever as well.

Why not just swing with a heavier bat? Seems like a no braier to me.
