    I remember when this happened. I'd like to think she hurt herself rounding first base before she knew it was a home run, as opposed to this reenactment that shows her just standing at home plate watching it go over the fence and then injuring herself while taking a David Ortiz-esque celebratory stroll around the bases. Either way, a great show of sportsmanship by the losing squad.

        I had not heard of this story. Thanks for sharing. Those young ladies really deserve kudos for sportsmanship and taking the game out of the hands of the rule book and back in the hands of the players.
