Planing pitches properly and hitting them squarely has always been a problem of mine--when I'm on, I can hit hard line drives, but when I'm not on, it's usually hit in the air or on the ground kind of weakly. I decided to videotape myself a few days ago, and it looked like I was dropping my hands too much. The next day I went to my local baseball facility to get some instructor guy there to pitch to me, but my dad encouraged me to just get a lesson from him....so I did. Little did I know, but the guy was a "swing down to the baseball, A-C swing, extend your arms" kind of guy, but either way, I decided to try his advice and see what would happen. I wasn't hitting from the tee very well before he started instructing me, but somehow after he was instructing me with his linear techniques, I started hitting the ball better. :noidea
So I have these two videos here--one is what I was doing the day before the lesson, and the second one is me just swinging the way I normally would vs. me swinging the way he taught me yesterday. Can you help critique my swing? I think I maybe I'm uppercutting the ball TOO much, so the "swing down" cue helped me stop a little bit...but I don't know. Any comments/critiques?

There's quite a few swings in each video, so you don't have to watch all of them--don't bore yourself. :P
