As the father of sons not blessed with blazing pitching speed I really liked this story. Yes, Jamie is a "freak" for doing what he's doing. Yes, he's probably the only one who can even think about continuing to do this at his age (or for having done it over the course of his career). It certainly doesn't mean the majority of guys who throw floaters up there will ever make it as HS, college, or MLB pitchers. It's just a neat story of a guy doing what he's always done and being ridiculously successful at it.
