  • Elbow Guard Suggestions

Son is currently using a Franklin elbow guard. Going back to last year he's been hit right on it 3 times and still ended up with seam marks and a nice knot. Needless to say we are looking to upgrade, the only problem is you have to buy these things off the internet in my area so I don't have the benefit of inspecting the various models available out there. Anyone have any recommendations/experiences that could help me make a decision? Thanks in advance for anyone's thoughts.
Baseball was, is and always will be to me the best game in the world.

Teach him to get out of the way. Chase Utley takes pitched balls off the elbow, but he's getting paid millions to do it.

Another vote for Evoshield. I just got one for my 15 year old Freshman and he loves it. Do a Youtube search on it and there are two videos of guys taking 90mph fastballs off of it.

The Evoshield is great but when you mold it to his arm leave a little room for growth. Don't mold it skin tight maybe try wearing a long sleeve tee shirt and molding it over that.

My 19 year old wears the Evoshield. One snapped in the game and it still offers some protection. Tryng to get the 12 year old to wear it. He doesn't like it for some reason.
