The synthetic balls always seem dead when hitting them and they don't have raised seams so aren't very good for throwing. I'd get better used balls. Amazon always has Wilsons on sale.

I personally dont like the feel of throwing a synthetic ball so I usually just pick up a couple dozen of the CROLBX from walmart which are like 20 bucks a dozen. Or you can get used baseballs at stores like play it again sports usually about a buck or 2 a ball

    Batting Practice Balls

I've noticed that our bucket of balls is getting a little low. I can't figure out where they disappear to. We have mostly used relatively cheap synthetic cover balls with a few good used game balls thrown in for backyard BP. Does it matter much what kind of balls are used for BP? Any recommendations for refilling our bucket?
