Was baseball part of your 4th of July?

Our local MiLB club put on a great event. Ballgame, honoring veterans, and fireworks after the game. Too bad the visitors were uncooperative and turned bases loaded double plays in the first two innings. It was just one of those nights where everything went the other way, but still a great way to spend the 4th.

We went on the 4th last year. It's a proctologist's dream, so we went July 3 this year. Much better and the team had their own fireworks show. Good times. They had a few different Humvees available to check out, too.

Baseball practice for a bunch of kids that are not all on the same team. Best practice of the year.

Pretty cool, at the game last night between innings the team owner brought out veterans and they were announced and given their due appreciation from the crowd. Between one of the innings he brought out 3 men that were all in their 90s and were WW2 veterans. One was a member of "Easy" Company that the series "Band of Brothers" is based on. These men all had done some very heroic and impressive things. The sold out crowd gave them a long standing ovation. It was awesome!

Played 5-on-5 and 4-on-4 baseball with my son and his cousins (ages 6-12) , and played in a massive family kickball game. Muscles and skin are sore today.

Went to the Cardinals game for the 4th at Busch Stadium. First Cardinals game I've been to in two years.. Cardinals won. We saw a lady there wearing an Old Jack flag on her shirt.. somebody should have told her she was in the wrong country
