Rather than getting a lot of conflicting advice online I would suggest finding a pitching coach you can be comfortable. Your velocity may be increased just by improving your mechanics. You can't do that without a knowledgeable person observing you pitch. When my son was 6', 160 his velocity went from 82 to 85/86 with mechanical improvements from a pitching coach. Other than this it appears you're already aware of the other avenues to improvement. My son's showcase travel coach was a proponent of Ron Wolforth's methods.

hey guys. i haven't played ball in 3 years but am pitching on a club team now and can top out at 80 mph. i figure thats not bad having not thrown a ball in 3 years. i've heard of jobe exercises and what not, but i was curious what exactly increases velocity? i've heard rotator cuff, stride length, core, long toss - many things. can someone lead me in the right direction, i'd like to hit at least 85 with a lot of hard work. any specific baseball workout programs, or throwing programs would be great. I like having a routine so if you could tell me how many times a week and what not that would be great. also, i'm 6'0 155, so i figure bulking up could help too? thanks a lot!
