I have a friend that is building a basketball court /batting cage and the space is approximately 26x36 feet rectangle and is indoors Is this enough space to convert part of it or temporarily make all of it a batting cage? Is 35ish feet too close to be able to do an effective batting cage? Any suggestions on how you would set up the space ideally. He is thinking of putting wood basketball floors on part or all of the space and he asked for my opinion. Any and all ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would go with a rubberized floor through out, this will ensure that you don't ruin the hard court when taking swings. Also, hittingcage.com has lots of hitting cages, from L-screens to full batting cages capable of online live arm.
