    BBCOR Bat Handle Question

    Is there a rule against stripping off the handle tape and retaping it with another tape? Thanks. Hate to find out when it is too late on a $300 bat.

    Not that I've ever heard of. What age/competition level are you dealing with? I can't see that re-taping would enhance the propulsion properties of the bat.
    sigpicIt's not whether you fall -- everyone does -- but how you come out of the fall that counts.

      You are allowed to retape a bat. There are rules, probably varying, regarding how far up the bat it can go. The rule for LL is that it must be at least 10" and not exceed 18" from the end of the handle.
