Handling two kids that play baseball

I have two young boys that both play. This spring will be the first year where both start to have pretty busy schedules. One will be starting LL Majors as a 10yo, the other doesn't play LL, but plays on a 9U travel team. Besides the obvious logistical issues, wondering how others have dealt with this?

In the past I've always coached one of their teams, but don't want to be a coach on either team this season because I don't know that I can commit that much dedicated time to either. Fortunately my wife is extremely supportive and is at every game she can be at as well.

I'm anticipating my 10yo will have a tough time this year being a 10yo in majors.

Looks like the first challenge will be opening weekend of 4/19. Older son starts majors and younger son is playing down in VA at Ripken.

It took my son about 4-5 games to get used to 12U when he started as a 10 yr old...

Because he wants to do it. He has friends on the team and knows his majors coach well. I think he's prepared to have a tough time at the plate. He'll hold his own in the field.

Personally, I'd be fine if our Majors was 11/12, and I've pushed for that in the past.

We dabbled in LL last year, the two 10's on his Majors squad definitely belonged. They were not big kids either. But they had desire and some skills, better than a couple of 12's. I was not impressed with little league, the poor coaching, silly rules, etc. and so went back to Bronco (PONY) which is 11/12's. We like the 7 innings vs 6 innings, the longer fences, 245 to center vs LL 200 ft to center, the bigger diamond, leading off, run on dropped 3rd strike, etc.

I didn't mention travel vs LL so I don't know where that remark comes from. I did say that there are 10's that might contribute to a majors team better than some 12's. I did strongly imply that I prefer Pony League to LL. I have been down the road with kids 7 years apart with one playing in Arizona and the other in Northridge, CA one week and then San Luis Obispo, CA for one and the other in San Bernardino, Ca the next.
