  • Your favorite Broadcasters

i wonder which broadcasters you baseball-fevers like the most.

(please try to stay with national broadcasters).

i m pretty keen of ESPN's Jon Miller & Joe Morgan (though Joe sometimes tries to know to much) and Fox's NLCS-Team Thom Brennaman & Bob Brenly (the best color around i think).

Joe Buck is making his dad, Jack, proud as the best one out there.
1968 and 1984, the greatest ever.

I like Joe Buck and Vin Scully...

Bob Costas if he would ever do baseball again..

Not a big fan of Joe Morgan...

For the radio, I love hearing Mike Shannon's voice.

Ernie Harwell is my favorite, knowledgable and professional. Not prone to homerism like so many team broadcasters. His TV counterpart for so many years, George Kell, was one of the best former players-turned-broadcasters in any sport.
Jon Miller is good, very good. And Joe Buck is getting there. He is well able to point out the absurd, especially when it's coming from his partner's mouth. I remember a comment he made during one of the football playoff games, when his partner in the booth (Troy Aikman?) said something along the lines of where the game (Giants-Panthers) was living up to expectations. Buck said something to the effect that the expectations must not have been too high.

                      Favorite Broadcasters

Gene Elston,(why hasn't the HOF acknowledge him with the Frick award?), Jack Brickhouse, Milo Hamilton, Vin Scully,(smooth as silk),Harry Caray,(after his stroke, he went downhill. Painful to listen a legend after he lost his greatness). Dave Campbell, Lou Boudreau, Steve Stone, Pete Vanwerien(sic).

Don't know about you guys, but give someone who doesn't throw out stupid nicknames while broadcasting,(Chris Berman). Give me a broadcaster who gives out stats during the game.

Ya got yer wish! Congrats to Elston on the Frick award. Gary Thorne is a great voice, so much so you let him get away with the occasional wig-out.

Pretty good at doing what? Do they have some other job besides announcing?
