The new movie wil have the title The open road. Co starring will be Jeff Bridges, Mary Steenburggen and Kate (who the heck is?) Mara.

Actually, I don't think he is an actor. He's a 'singer'.
Anyway, I heard that for the actual game scenes the director is using Clay Aiken as a stand in. Aparently he thinks Justin is cute an all, but he just isn't butch enough for the action scenes.
Ellen Degeneres has been cast as his father.

Could they pick somebody worse to play a ballplayer? This might be as unconvincing as Cuba Gooding Jr. playing a football player in Jerry Maguire.

I hate it when singers think they can act, especially when they miss cast them so much. I saw an ad where he was in this movie and he played a "tough" guy gangster with tatoos. Come on his was in a boy band and on the mickey mouse club! It also sucks when they have someone play a ballplayer who can't play at all! Now I don't know if he can play or not, he dosen't look like he can so this thing is probally going to be horrible!

I read somewhere that he wanted to meet with some actual Corpus Christi Hooks players to get some tips on what minor league life was like, and how to carry himself like a ballplayer. They couldn't make time in their schedules for him...

Hey, this is a bold move for him. This could break his acting career. But I think that isn't fair what the ex-players did to him. That is a bit harsh. He was, after all, getting into his part and doing the necessary research that every actor should do.
